ROM is "built-in" computer recollection containing data that usually can only be read, not written to. ROM contains the encoding that allows your computer to be "booted up" or regenerate each time you turn it on. Not like a computer's random access memory (RAM), the information in ROM is not missing when the computer power is turned off. The ROM is continued by a little long-life battery in your computer.
How Rom Work :
ROM chips contain a network of columns and rows. But where the columns and rows cross, ROM chips are basically different from RAM chips. While RAM uses transistors to twist on or off access to a capacitor at every junction, ROM uses a diode to join the lines if the significance is 1. If the significance is 0, then the outline are not connected at all.
